About The Grappling Academy

The Grappling Academy is a no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school located in Red Hill, PA, serving students from Pennsburg, East Greenville, Green Lane, and the Upper Perkiomen Valley. We focus on clear instruction, tough training, and the fundamentals that make Jiu-Jitsu effective for everyone — whether you’re brand new or chasing your next level on the mats.

The Grappling Academy was founded in May 2022 by Daniel Jordan III, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Renzo Gracie → Rich Latta. After decades of training and teaching, he wanted to create a space that pushed students to their limits while keeping the art’s core values — discipline, humility, and respect — at the center.

What started as a small group of dedicated teammates has grown into a strong, local community built on hard work and shared purpose. Today, classes are led by Daniel Jordan III, John Nelson, Greg Mikovitch, and Daniel Jordan IV — all black belts who continue to train, compete, and refine their craft alongside their students.

At The Grappling Academy, we believe progress starts with mastery of the basics. Our training emphasizes precision, control, and deep understanding of fundamental positions before moving into advanced strategy.

Classes are demanding — physically and mentally — because they’re meant to be. We believe toughness is built through consistency and honest effort. “Iron sharpens iron” isn’t just a saying here; it’s how we train, teach, and grow together.
